This is a vintage avant garde deconstructed skirt from I.S. designed by Sunao Kuwahara in the 1990's. Sunao Kuwahara worked for Issey Miyake, starting in 1989 and then he designed for this label in 1994. This dove grey pinstriped skirt has brick red, grey/blue, black, and white balanced stripes sewn on darker grey fabric strips with the same balanced stripe pattern in brick red, teal and white on the front. There are also navy blue fabric strips with top-stitching. These sewn on strips of fabric have loose threads coming from them that are purposefully tangled and knotted in a combination of colors. There are also purposeful "stains" and silver sequins sewn in throughout the front of the skirt. All sequins, tangled thread, and sewn on fabric are located only on the front of the skirt and the back is solid grey.

Made of mixed fabrics including silk and cotton. The skirt has an elastic waist and is unlined, and labeled a size medium. We estimate that this would fit a size 4-8 most comfortably.
